DESCRIPTION

This is an original production-used 1977 Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope miniature piece of the Death Star surface panel. For filming the Death Star scene in A New Hope many adjoining panels were created, painted and detailed to an incredibly high standard by ILM model makers. This is the dream piece for all Star Wars fans, a genuine piece of the surface of the sinister Death Star.

The panel consists of a cast resin shell filled with rigid polyfoam, sprayed primer gray then detailed in painted shades of gray. Expertly studio painted and distressed to appear as a segment of the outer hull of a spacecraft.

The source of this piece was from the brother of visual effects staffer Rhonda Peck.

This incredible piece of Star Wars history comes presented in an elegant, black hinged framed display featuring an official Star Wars photo and patch with laser engraved text describing the piece. The frame features a metal latch on the side, making it easy to open so that you can remove the Death Star panel at your leisure.
