This flown-in-space patch is from our private collection and is part of the 4th payload that we arranged to be carried to and from the International Space Station. Our payload launched up to the International Space Station on 29th August 2021 at 07:14:49 UTC aboard SpaceX CRS-23 and docked a day later on 30th August 2021 at 15:00 UTC. Throughout the mission, the patch orbited Earth while attached to the MISSE platform stationed outside the International Space Station before returning to Earth aboard the SpaceX CRS-25 Dragon spacecraft on 20th August 2022 at 18:53 UTC. The patch spent 356 days in space from launch to landing, orbiting Earth 5696 times and traveling 145,248,000 nautical miles.
Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity:
This artifact was launched into space as per our spaceflight arrangement with Aegis Aerospace (formerly Alpha Space), and as such, it comes with a full lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
Please Note: The patches are made up of two parts; the front and back. The front is made of high-quality fabric with the NASA logo printed directly onto it; this is the part that flew into space. The rear side is made of a high-quality embroidered base; this part is not flown into space due to NASA's flight weight restrictions and was added by us post-flight. This means that the front of the patch is flown-in-space, while the embroidered back is not.
