This Gemini 5 Pin is 1 inch in diameter and was produced by the official NASA patch manufacturer, AB Emblem. Gemini 5 was the third mission under the Gemini Program and launched on August 21, 1965. Command Pilot Gordon Cooper and Pilot Pete Conrad orbited the Earth for 8 days in their Gemini spacecraft, the same amount of time required to venture to the moon and back. The crew landed safely on August 29, 1965.
