The piece of space flown film in this presentation was removed during the restoration of Liberty Bell 7. During the capsule's 38 years on the ocean floor, the camera in which the film was housed dissolved and the film fell to the floor of the capsule, where it was encased in mud and corroding debris. The film was exposed and unsalvageable.
