This Apollo-Soyuz Crew Patch is 4 inches in diameter and was produced by NASA's official patch manufacturer, AB Emblem. ASTP was the coming together of the Apollo and Soyuz spacecraft in low Earth orbit. The Soyuz launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on July 15, with the Apollo spacecraft lifting off later that day from the Kennedy Space Center. Astronauts Tom Stafford, Vance Brand and Deke Slayton occupied the Apollo spacecraft, while Alexey Leonov and Valery Kubasov occupied the Soyuz.
