DESCRIPTION
This incredible presentation is one of the rarest and most striking pieces we have ever created. It combines a stunning panoramic print featuring actual footage from the Apollo 11 lunar landing, a genuine crew-signed Apollo 11 type 2 insurance cover, a genuine Apollo 11 Command Module flown ablative plug and a stunning 8 gram moon rock. Individually, each artifact is incredible, but combined they create something truly unique, historic and one-of-a-kind.
The presentation comes framed in museum quality materials with UV protective glass for additional protection and measures 27.75 inches x 22.5 inches. The presentation is fully certified and the insurance cover is also accompanied by a Zarelli Space Authentication COA. Also included are three individual plaques, each identifying their respective artifacts in detail.
ABOUT THE APOLLO 11 SIGNED TYPE-2 DOW-UNICOVER INSURANCE COVER
The Apollo 11 Signed Type 2 Dow-Unicover Insurance Cover displays images of the Apollo 11 crew members, as well as a drawing which is titled: "Apollo XI, The First Step..." with the additional title of: "First Manned Lunar Landing." Kennedy Space Center (KSC) postmark of 16 July 1969, the launch date for Apollo 11.
This cover is one of three different designs used by the Apollo 11 crew to serve as a form of "life insurance" for their families. If a catastrophic event during the mission occurred, preventing Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Buzz Aldrin's safe return, this cover could have been used by family members to provide financial support. This design as well as the Apollo 11 emblem and lunar surface exploration designs were evenly distributed to the families after they were postmarked at the Kennedy Space Center on July 16 or Houston, Texas on July 20, 1969.
Signed by the Apollo 11 crew prior to launch in order to provide financial security for astronauts’ families.
ABOUT THE APOLLO 11 COMMAND MODULE FLOWN ABLATIVE PLUG
This ablative plug was once removed from the reactive control system (RCS) access hatch of Apollo 11 Command Module "Columbia" which ferried the Apollo 11 astronauts to the Moon. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans in history to step foot upon another celestial body. The plug was removed from the reaction control system panel of the Command Module from famous mission post-flight! From the collection of Ray F. Larson, Vice-President and Chief Engineer of Rockwell International.
These plugs helped protect the Command Module from the heat of reentry and were removed from the access doors post-flight; they were threaded into holes to cover bolts around the exterior of the spacecraft. The flown heatshield plug measures approx. 1". Intact heatshield plugs are incredibly rare as most have been cut up and/or embedded in acrylic. A beautiful piece of history from the most famous expedition in human history.

ABOUT THE 8 GRAM MOON ROCK
This incredible 8 gram meteorite came from the NWA 11303 Lunar Meteorite, meaning it was once part of the Moon! The piece is coated in a pale reddish-brown terrestrial weathering product and the fresh interior of the fragment exhibits white to beige clasts in a dark gray, fine-grained matrix. Truly a beautiful specimen and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The moon rock itself measures 31mm x 26mm x 10mm.
