DESCRIPTION
This incredible piece of spaceflight history is part of our exclusive Space Series. This pack contains a genuine micro fragment of Apollo 10 Command Module "Charlie Brown" flown heatshield.
Heatshield was used to protect the Command Module from the extreme heat of reentry and was composed of a fiberglass honeycomb, integrated with a phenolic resin and bonded with an epoxy-based adhesive to a cleaned, stainless steel shell. The heatshield was designed to withstand temperatures in excess of 3200°C. Each Command Module was protected by approximately 370,000 manually-filled honeycomb cells. North American Aviation performed this task.

Includes:
- Apollo 10 Command Module "Charlie Brown" Flown Heatshield
- Collectible Authenticity Information Card
