DESCRIPTION
Own your very own piece of Russian space history with this fascinating segment of the Buran 2.03 Space Shuttle thermal tile, which was dismantled in 1995! Roscosmos built several shuttles to rival the American shuttle but ultimately never used them for flight, instead relying on the Soyuz rocket to ferry astronauts to and from space.
- Unflown Thermal Tile measures approx. 2/3'' x 2/3''
- Comes presented in a solid acrylic box
- Overall presentation measures 3.1'' x 2.1'' x 0.8''
Please Note: Some tiles have a black upper layer, while others have a white upper layer. Tile material is brittle and has a chalky film. This film can get on your hands and irritate the skin if handled directly, and as such should only be handled while wearing suitable gloves (i.e. rubber) and should only be opened in a well-ventilated area (i.e. outdoors). The tile material was intended for use in space and should be respected as such.
