This Apollo 11 Command Module hatch door replica was one of two made by renowned space artist Ryan Nagata for use in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum's Project Egress. Project Egress saw artists come together to utilise their combined skills and create a complete replica of the Apollo 11 Command Module hatch. This piece was one of two created which ultimately remained unused. The hatch window replica was signed by astronaut Mike Collins in August 2019.
