DESCRIPTION

This incredible piece of spaceflight history is part of our exclusive Space Series. This booster pack contains a genuine micro fragment of Apollo 11 Command Module "Columbia" flown kapton foil.

With one side silver and the other gold, Kapton foil protected the Command Module from the extreme radiation of deep space. It is a common misconception that the gold side of the foil was directly exposed to deep space. It was, in fact, the silver side that was directly exposed to deep space, with the gold side facing inward toward the spacecraft.

Also included in this pack is a collectible authenticity information card, as well as an acrylic display disc to hold your historic piece of space flown memorabilia.

Includes:

  • Apollo 11 Command Module "Columbia" Flown Kapton Foil
  • Collectible Authenticity Information Card
  • 4cm Circular Acrylic Display Case
